A super rare shellac 10" one-sided 78rpm

by : ELSIE JANIS

title : THE DARKTOWN STRUTTERS BALL

( a jazz melody )

this was Ms Janis' penultimate recording

which was recorded during the year 1919

this is a UK pressing on the HMV sepia nipper label

cat no : 2-3329 / matrix : 4764

as with several of her recordings the label error

states that that she was an English Comedienne

I will playgrade tomorrow

o/w disc has scuffmarks some light scratches and

some v. faint greying in parts

grade GOOD condition considering it is 97 years old
