Selling my prog/psych/rock collection! Here’s a rarity by SUNFOREST and it’s an original UK issue on the DERAM NOVA Series label. This is NOT a foreign issue or a reissue on Tapestry or a 180g issue. ..it’s the ORIGINAL real deal and one that rarely turns up for auction!
One and only LP recorded by this short-lived psychedelic folk band formed in 1969 by Terry Tucker, Erika Eigen and Freya Hogue. They are best known for their instrumental "The Overture to the Sun" and song "Lighthouse Keeper", which was featured in the film ‘A Clockwork Orange’……also… ’(I Want To Marry a) Lighthouse Keeper’ was used in a TV commercial. The record is (as has been said elsewhere) a unique compendium of UK acid folk with a popsike feel, sporting harpsichord and (somewhat) medieval-tinged arrangements integrated into electric and acoustic folk-esque tunes. But one thing must be said straight away: the Sunforest album is not at all twee. The songs are far too clever, and the production (by legendary producer Vic Coppersmith-Heaven) has far too much depth. This is said because the cover art that seems to have misled people since the album was released. Worthy of special mention is the phenomenal folk/funk vibe-fest 'Magician In The Mountain' which has made this LP the object of desire of many a DJ and a sampler.

Very feint ‘paper’ lines, hardly visible. Feint pops but nothing serious. Cleaned on my vinyl machine it plays very well and the music cuts through fine.
The sleeve has a light crease (hardly visible). NO rips, splits or writing.
