Description
Incredibly rare original Lighthouse Record Co. LP test pressing of Howard Rumsey and his All-Stars, Sunday Jazz a la Lighthouse (LP-301). One deep-groove label is stamped:
Lewis-Rubner Mfg. Co.
316 E. BEACH ST.
INGLEWOOD, CALIF.
MAY 15 1953
And then, written in what seems like pencil:
LP-301-Y/Z
which is also the only marking in the dead wax (A-Side is stamped LP -301-Y and B-Side is LP -301-Z). The other deep groove label is plain. Test pressing is in outstanding VG++ condition, as is cover. Here’s an opportunity at the rarest pressing - surely limited to 25 or fewer copies - of this fabulous release in top shape.
Our photos are of the actual listed item – we don’t use stock photos. Please keep in mind when you evaluate our service that we spend extra money for new, sturdy mailers and inserts designed to protect your albums. All LPs are packaged securely, with wax separated from cover to prevent split seams, unless the LP is sealed or you request otherwise. USPS media mail shipping adds $3.95. International shipping is $18.95. Paypal accepted, and, yes – we’re happy to combine items to save you on shipping costs. Payment is expected within three days of auction’s end, please, or sharp pins will be placed in a voodoo doll that bears your ebay id. Thanks for lookin’!
