Description
This is a one owner, 45 rpm single from my personal collection. The vinyl looks and sounds excellent. The original cover is VG+ with some ring wear.
Released in 1979, "Gidget Goes To Hell" was the band's debut. It was notable for its quirky, strident New Wave sound and a music video directed by Jonathan Demme, which famously aired on Saturday Night Live in 1980. This original 7" is considered a rare "stone masterpiece" by collectors. Interestingly, this specific track was not included on their self-titled 1981 debut album released by I.R.S. Records, making the original single the only way to own it on vinyl for many years.
