About This Record. This is another cool LP from my collection, a rarely seen copy of The VERY first LP released by the Velvet Underground, entitled The Velvet Undergound & Nico, of course. Produced by Andy Warhol. This is an original first press copy of the MONO version, with most of the banana still attached, and the infamous copyright infringing Emerson Torso cover on the back side. These rarely turn up. My pain, your gain! Good Luck! KEEPER Copy!

I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me).
Cover Condition: STRONG Very Good Plus (VG+) cover. Not so far from EX. The Banana has no stem. It was torn off; the rest of the banana looks GREAT! But there is a 3/4 inch top seam split top right corner of the gatefold cover. Light ring wear on right half of cover, and on backside; Otherwise, STRONG spine and strong seams. Very Nice. But there is some age wear and spotting on the back cover, especially at the bottom, and else wear, and some light noticeable ring wear and light corner wear/rubs on the gatefold cover. Please see all the Photos I took. I didn't take them for fun and frolic.
Vinyl Condition: STRONG Excellent Minus (EX-) vinyl. MONO Vinyl plays STRONG Excellent (EX)/ better, but it looks VG+ because of noticeable light paper marks and a very light scuffs or two that don't affect play. Please see the Photos!
Labels. Near Mint (NM) top labels. Please see photos of all labels.
Inserts: Comes with original Verve Records Factory plain paper inner sleeve, but no worries, the vinyl also comes hand-cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine and in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve so the old Dust does not reattach! Oh My Gosh!
Packaging. I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
