Having digitised my huge vinyl collection, I'm now releasing this classic limited edition Street Sounds 14-album Box Set into the wild - and hoping it will find a new home with a true aficionado!
This came out in 1983: I left work early on the day of its release and queued up at the original Virgin Records shop in London's Notting Hill Gate to get my hands on it as soon as I could (its release had been hyped over several weeks in the rather excellent Blues & Soul magazine).
Here you have 14 vinyl albums, all in plain inner sleeves and contained in a pretty sturdy outer cardboard box. The pictures above are of the actual item: you can see some minor bits of wear and tear on the box (understandable I suppose - I have had it in my collection for 39 years!), so I want you to see clearly exactly what you're getting. The 14 albums are all in very good nick: frankly, since digitising them they haven't been played in a long time, so they're belying their age admirably. The plain paper inner sleeves show some light stains, the result of being stored away for some time.
