Description
Originally, I had two copies for sale, but now I have only one left. This is a highly sought after "essential" in rare vinyl among serious collectors of the 80's Thrasher/Heavy Metal genre, especially internationally. STORMTROOPER Armies of the Night, 1985 USA, on the Iron Works label. There are 5 selections on the EP. I was the Manager and Co-Producer at the time of the recording. Unfortunately, the band broke up before any additional recordings were ever made. If you already have the CD of the rerelease by High Voltage, know this: the first 5 selections are the only ones recorded by the same line up as on the original vinyl EP, The alternate version of the same selections included on the CD, are actually from the demo I received before bringing the band to LA . We then added the new guitarists, and each band members personal style and contribution in the newer version that is on the original vinyl EP. All the other songs on the CD do not contain any previous band members from EP, except the lead singer. PLUS..the CD is a direct copy of the vinyl recording, not the Master. This original recording is in great shape and worth the investment of an initial purchase or upgrading to the REAL thing. The record has not been played for over 25 years, and was played less than a handful of times in 1985. After a thorough inspection, I did a light hand cleaning and it looks great. There is some mild wear on the cover. However, it is mostly at the opening of the cover, since the original shrinkwrap is still attached . The wear is only from reasonable personal handling and time. This is among the first few that were pressed.
