ARTIST : THE STOOGES * TITLE : THE STOOGES * LABEL : ELEKTRA (EKS-74051) * COUNTRY : USA * YEAR : 1969 * FORMAT : 12" VINYL LP * RECORD CONDITION : VG++ (just a tad below M-) * COVER CONDITION : This is a tough call. VG to VG+. Has some ring wear and what looks like four long finger nail dents in the front (you have to move the cover around in the light to really see them) but still has sharp color and plenty of glossy sheen. Also has a cool red and black Elektra records "PROMOTIONAL COPY - NOT FOR SALE" sticker on the front. * NOTES : Great original copy of this Punk classic from 35 years ago. Has the red Elektra labels but the Stooges logo is not on them. Every other copy I have ever seen of this LP has the logo printed right under the spindle hole and right above the song titles. This one just has the song titles. It also comes with the original stock inner sleeve (in M- condition). This is the black glossy one with the Elektra logo mirror imaged on one side and color photos of the Elektra studios and offices on the other. There is a short description next to each picture and the description with the picture of their West Coast facillity reads "This architect's rendering will be fully realized in the fall of 1969." The album was released in 1969. Produced by John Cale of The Velvet Underground.
