Description
This is an overall fine copy of Rockadelic's 1994 issue of the previously unreleased LP by Missouri group the Stoned Circus, recorded in 1970. Not to be confused with the similarly named Montreal group Stone Circus, who recorded an LP for the Mainstream label, this outfit had no official releases in their day. These tracks were recorded at Cavern Studios in Independence, MO, where the better known Wizards from Kansas LP was done. They're a mix of original compositions and covers like Bloodrock's "Find a Way," "Babe, I'm Gonna Love You" (also done by Quicksilver Messenger Service among other groups), and "Corrina." This pressing was the first issue of the LP in any format (the World in Sound label reissued it a couple of decades later on vinyl and CD). The record is housed in a thick generic blue jacket with cover slicks pasted on the front and back covers. The jacket has light creasing and wear in a few corners, while the cover slicks are close to pristine -- overall EX+. The disc has a small ding in the last track on side 2 that caused one skip when I tested it. Otherwise it's clean, and the source disc plays with occasional light surface noise -- overall, then, VG+. The record comes with a one-sided insert (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
