Description
STOMPIN' TOM CONNORS: RARE 1st 45 from 1964 VERY RARE ONLY 200 MADE - "MOVIN' ON TO ROUYN / CAROLYNE". This very rare first recording was privately pressed and paid for by Tom Connors. Subsequent pressings had printed labels such as Twang or a sponsor such as CKGB, radio station in Timmins, Ontario.
Interesting Back Story: Tom's first home base for a number of months was Timmins, On but made frequent trips to play bars in Sudbury, On (about a 3 hour drive south). On more than one occasion, the family, that originally owned this 45, would invite Tom over to play at their home not far from The Algoma Hotel in Chelmsford, On. In the early days, Tom gladly accepted invitations from local fans for gigs in their homes.
NOTE: This track was part of large record collections including from a radio station library that went back many years and included many Promos.

When possible a label sleeve will be included. All records hand cleaned and shipped in 300ml poly sleeves. All records are inspected and graded for overall appearance and sound quality.
GRADING: Platter A/B sides are visually inspected and an OVERALL rating is given. If feelers are present will advise. Needle drops on A/B sides (short play positions) determine OVERALL sound quality.
