Description
STIFF LITTLE FINGERS "Suspect Device/Wasted Life" (UK Rigid Digits SRD-1, 1978) Original first issue with the hand cut sleeve and correct label of this seminal punk single, please fully read description below.
Condition:
Sleeve: Overall VG but there is a piece of sellotape on one seam (looks like it's been there a long time) and the opening edge side of the sleeve has been cut by approximately 5-6 millimetres (visible on the front sleeve scan where the top of the last "E" in "Suspect Device" is snipped) The back sleeve opening has a couple of tiny tears and a small red arrow has been written in pen near the bottom right hand side of the back sleeve (you might be able to see this in the scan). There is a light stain on the front and the sleeve corners display some light creasing and evidence of handling. Curiously, on the INSIDE of the sleeve someone has written "Blue pajamas OK" -It is reasonably far in and at an angle indicating it was written before the sleeve was assembled though what, if anything, it refers to is probably forgotten in time. Also, on the inside opening a small "melody maker" is written in biro.
Disc: VG, numerous light hairlines but no scratches, has been cleaned on a Loricraft PRC-3 and playback is nice with just light background noise, mainly on the intros. Labels (with the SRD-1 on the right hand side) are clean although side B has a "2" in black marker near the spindle hole, this is commonly found on many first press copies.
