Description
Steve & The Board "And The Giggle Eyed Goo" LP
(Spin Records El-31997) Australia 1965
One of the Rarest and best Australian Garage Beat Groups of the Sixties. Predominantly comprised of decent originals, it also has a splattering of tight cover versions of Rosalyn, Farmer John, Love's Made A Fool Of You and Little Miss Rhythm And Blues, nice.
Cover (VG++) Back of Cover VG+, with some stains, Ring wear and sticker peel residue seen in photo.
Vinyl (VG++) Clean labels. A Fantastic Copy.
In 1965 The Bee Gees met American-born songwriter, producer and entrepreneur Nat Kipner, who had just been appointed A&R manager of a new independent label, Spin Records. Kipner briefly took over as the group's manager and successfully negotiated their transfer to Spin in exchange for Festival being granted the Australian distribution rights to the group's recordings.
Through Kipner, the Bee Gees met engineer-producer Ossie Byrne. He produced (or co-produced with Kipner) many of the earlier Spin recordings. They regularly collaborated with other local musicians, including members of beat band Steve & The Board, led by Steve Kipner, Nat's teenage son.
An Above-average British Invasion-inspired band, leaning closer to the Beatles and the Mersey sound.

RECORD GRADING:
Near Mint (NM) This is the top grade and is in pristine condition with and no marks. A NM cover will show no signs of wear.
Near Mint - (NM-) is slightly below the NM grade with only one imperfection but generally flawless.
Very Good ++ (VG++) Record may have sleeve marks from being pulled in and out of a cover. Typically these marks will only be viewable under a bright light bulb. Generally will play through like a NM- with little to no surface noise. Cover may have storage wear, tiny age spots, or creasing, nothing distracting or major.
Very Good + (VG+) Visible scuffing or surface wear may be present, but not deep enough to affect play. VG+ records may have slight surface noise, but only noticeable in quiet passages of music (at beginning of record or between tracks.) This slight surface noise should not overwhelm the music experience otherwise. Covers in this grade may have ringwear, edgewear, creases, or general shelf wear.
Very Good (VG) Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise.
A great play copy but clearly used. Cover may have splits and heavy wear, writing or stains, and possible tears or creases.
