We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Original 1966 STEREO first pressing vinyl of the second great album by the illustrious TURTLES who offer a lot more than their hits...here, their second album finds the California group on the way up, includes their second straight hit, the remarkably catchy "You Baby" ...
Though many remember only their 1967 hit "Happy Together," the Turtles were one of the more enjoyable American poprock groups of the 1960s, moving from folk-rock inspired by the Byrds to a sparkling fusion of Zombies-inspired chamber-pop and straight-ahead good-time crafted pop rock melodics reminiscent of the sunny California sounds of the sixties -- the whole infused with beautiful vocal harmonies courtesy of dual frontmen Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman.
The Turtles hit the bull's eye with this second album in 1966. It is a delightful blend of folk and rock and roll and an expansion of these styles from their first album. The fun, danceable 1966 hit "You Baby" was an early signature song and remains a stellar gem to this day.
"Let Me Be" is without a doubt a very cutting edge, excellent, high powered song. The lyrics and the melody stand on their own merit and will remain an integral part of rock history. It is also the perfect track for the alternative hippie scene of the sixties. A better song could not be found for this singular distinction. (In September of 1965, the Turtles performed this gem on "Shindig." It was released a few months later in early 1966). They had a clean pop-craft image, but there are some dark tunes here. "House of Pain" is about a born loser who gets high any which way he can. "Down In Suburbia" and "Pall Bearing Ball Bearing" are scathing in their critique of a world with too many stereotypes and cookie cutter rules.
The romantic tunes like "Just A Room" and "Almost There" sound so surfy, like the Ventures with great vocals. These guys were always contenders.
CONDITION: The cover: all around solid with no split seams, no bends, no writing. VG++ having only a little small shelf wear starting at top center, bit at bottom, otherwise clean = the back cover group cover is CLEAN "EX" (excellent) ...
The vinyl: is all glossy clean, near"EX" (excellent) smooth clear grooves. Expect to play TOP excellent & enjoyable
