STEAMHAMMER Mk II lp CBS UK 1969 rare 1st press vg+
CBS S 63694 Matrixes: SBPG 63694 A1 / SBPG 63694 B1
Sleeve: VG- - A good deal of shelf wear: worn edges (esp. spine – very worn), ring wear and general surface wear, hairline creases. But intact and usable. Poly lined inner.
Vinyl: VG+ - Both sides show a number of light, mostly hairline scratches, and on side 1 track 5 a speck ingrained in grooves which I have not managed to clean off. A couple of small surface smears which also did not clean off. But for a 50-plus years old disc it is well-free of any serious damage. Plays well, crackly on the run-in grooves but little surface noise to be heard once the music is under way. Aforementioned speck caused one louder pop than elsewhere, and one or two of the scratches can sometimes make an audible but not overly intrusive crackle.
