This auction is for the STAR WARS 1980 JOHN WILLIAMS SOUNDTRACK FOR "THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK -- THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK FROM THE MOTION PICTURE". THE SET IS STILL IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP! This double album set was released on the RSO Record label, with catalogue number RS-2-4201. It also comes with the original booklet still attached on the inside of the gatefold sleeve.
This entire two album set was play-tested all the way through. Both lps are in overall VG+ or better condition. There is a very, very, VERY small "lip" warp along the edge of both albums. The needle does not jump in the slightest, and in all honesty, if I didn't point it out, you would not even have realized it was there (and it was probably there when the albums were new). It causes NO problems whatsoever.
Light scratches / scuffs can be seen on Sides One and Two (pic #22 shows one of the smaller areas of scuffing...just multiply that). There is nothing that can constantly be heard (a very very light tic may be heard and barely noticeable). Sides Three and Side Four look fine.
Very light, passing tics can occasionally be heard on the song "Lando's Palace", and between this song the the last song, "Finale".
As stated, the gatefold cover is still in the shrink wrap, with just the right edge opened (photos #1 and #2...sorry about the reflection of my camera in some of the photos). Picture #4 is of the top left corner, and photo #5 is of the top right corner of the front cover. You can see a small old price sticker on the top right corner. Below the price sticker is a large red, round hype sticker (pic #6). Photographs #7 and #8 are of the bottom right and bottom left corners, respectively. Pic #9 shows the still attached inside booklet (I guess it's attached, as it did not move).
Photographs #10 - 11 - 12 - 13 are of the back cover, and these show the track listing and the label information. Pics #14 are of the bottom left corner of the back cover, #15 is the bottom right corner, #16 is the top right corner, and #17 the top left corner.
The remaining pictures are of a couple vinyl sides, plus closeups of all four labels.
