Description

STANLEY COWELL– MUSA – Ancestral Streams (1974) Strata-East-19743 – EX/EX (cover/vinyl)

Deep and spiritual solo piano album by the incredible Stanley Cowell on the great Strata-East Records label, recorded in 1973 and released the following year. There is a lot of emotion in these great songs, and it’s the original release of his “Illusion Suite” songs that later came out on ECM. Phenomenal album.

This is a beautiful copy. The gatefold cover is tight with very little wear other than a 1/5-inch seam split from the jacket opening in at bottom. The vinyl is also beautiful with one superficial scuff at the end of side one that is not audible – otherwise nearly perfect. I grade this conservatively: EX/EX (cover/vinyl).

This is an original pressing. I do not sell modern reissues

Domestic media mail is $4. International airmail is $20. Note to international bidders – any winning bid over $100 requires registered mail shipping so a signature is obtained at delivery. The winning international bidder is responsible for the additional shipping costs associated with registered mail.
