On offer in this particular auction is an out-of-print very rare NEW 10-'Q' LP set of "THE COMPLETE CAPITOL STUDIO RECORDINGS OF STAN KENTON 1943-47", Mosaic MQ10-163. This set was released in 1995, and is #4178 of a limited edition of 5000 sets. Out of the 5000 sets produced most were of the CD version with only a small number of the 220-gram audiophile pressing 33 rpm record version!
This offered set is NEW and UNPLAYED. Outside of a miniscule touch of shelf wear to the box this set is close to perfect! Only the first record has ever been taken out of its sleeve, and that was done once by me to take a picture of the record for the listing. My love affair with these sets goes back to 1983 when I bought my first sets (the Monk and Mulligan) at the Jazz and Blues Record Centre in Toronto run by Bill Smith/John Norris, who published Coda magazine back in the day.
