Description
For auction is STAN GETZ's "The Steamer" Verve MG V-8294 MONO, 1957.
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. It sounded great! There were really only the most minor traces of background noise, here and there. Very enjoyable by all means!
Visually, the vinyl is VG+ or better, with only superficial scuffs here and there. This record is deep-grooved on both sides.
The sleeve is NM- with no flaws of note other than the "DJ sample" stamps on the reverse. It's very clean, with solid seams and corners all around. Reverse is very white, the front is clean with no ring wear. Nice!
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. A nice record, in great condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $15.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
