Description

This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the second LP by Detroit-area psych group SRC, released in 1969.  Formed by members of two local garage bands, the Fugitives and the Chosen Few, and taking their name from the initials of their lead singer Scott Richardson (they were originally know as the Scot Richard Case), the group debuted with a 1967 single on the local A-Square label before signing with Capitol.  The group's sophomore effort shows them starting to move towards a more progressive sound, notably in their medley of Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and Ravel's "Bolero," though other songs feature the same elaborate lyrical word play, and the Quackenbush brothers' guitar-organ interplay and Richardson's delicate vocals remain at the forefront.  The jacket is in fine overall condition with mostly light ring, corner, spine, and seam wear -- EX(-).  The disc has some light dinging, scraping, and scuffing, and plays with some light surface noise (EX).

I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
