Description
This is a self-titled LP from the group Spring from 1972 on United Artists UAS-5571. It was produced by Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and Stephen Desper. Arranged by Brian. The group consisted of sisters Marilyn Wilson, who was married to Brian at the time, and Diane Rovell. They had been members of The Honeys that had made recordings in the sixties and sang background on some Beach Boys songs. Larry Carlton and Carl Wilson play guitar on the album. Both sides of the record play VG with consistent noise in the background that doesn't overpower at all. It has good sound and tone. The cover is also VG with wear around the edges and other areas. See photos. This also includes the rare informational insert about Spring written by Ben Edmonds of CREEM Magazine. After this LP didn't do well, they recorded one last song that came out as a promotional record on a 45 and credited to American Spring in early 1973. I have a nice copy with picture sleeve listed at the time also if you are interested.
