Rare 1960s ACETATE 45rpm

SPICE - WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC

This is a rare EMIDISC ACETATE 45 of the song "WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC" by SPICE. SPICE  LATER BECAME KNOW AS URIAH HEEP. The song was only distributed as rare DEMO issues on the United Artists label in 1968 (UP 2246) and was the band's only recording as SPICE. THIS IS AN EVEN RARER ACETATE of the track. If you are not familiar with the song it is an excellent up-tempo mod dancer with a northern soul beat - absolutely first-class stuff. The name of the song and band is hand written on the label - as was the case with many of these acetate pressings.

The other side is  a song called "A Little Word", which is an unknown female vocal (there are no artist details on the label). As is often the case with acetate recordings, this track would appear to be unconnected to the song on the other side - they just liked to ensure that both sides of the blank disk were put to use!

Record is in shiny strong VG condition - plays EX
