Description
SPENCER DAVIS GROUP - SECOND ALBUM
FONTANA MONO TL 5295 FROM 1966
1ST PRESSING
WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED FONTANA INSERTED ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER 'AN ISLAND RECORD PRODUCTION' ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER IN THE BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER, THIS WAS GIVING ISLAND THE CREDIT IT DESERVED - AS FONTANA WAS RELEASING THE RECORD FOR THEM AS THEY DIDNT HAVE THE CAPACITY. HOWEVER THIS WASNT ENOUGH FOR ISLAND - AND SO THEY INSISTED THAT FONTANA INSERT THEIR 'ISLAND' LOGO ASWELL AND SO ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS THE ISLAND LOGO WAS PUT ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVERS
HOWEVER THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' 1ST PRESSING WITH NO ISLAND LOGO ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER AND IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!
The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is TL 5295 and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, and only a few light spindle marks
THE RECORD IS IN NR MINT CONDITION WITH NO BLEMISHES AND RETAINS ITS JUST PRESSED GLEAM
THE LAMINATED COVER IS REALLY EXCELLENT, ONE CREASE ON THE FRONT TOP LEFT HAND CORNER, THE EDGES AND SPINE ARE CLEAN AND SHARP
THE UNLAMINATED BACK HAS VERY SLIGHT YELLOWING

GRADINGS
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised, as Sealed or Unplayed will be mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks but there will be very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD + The record may have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly throughout, with only barely detectable crackles or pops. A slight noise at the beginning is allowable, but the remainder must be nearly flawless. Definitely no scratches or gouges that a touch with a dry finger can feel. The cover may only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
ALL RECORDS ARE PACKED IN PROPER MAILERS WITH STIFFENERS
