On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Spencer Davis Group called 'The Best Of The Spencer Davis Group Featuring Stevie Winwood' and is a SERIOUSLY rare 1967 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' Island 'Circle' logo label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  IN FACT THIS IS THE RAREST SPENCER DAVIS GROUP LP EVER AS A GENIUNE MONO 1ST PRESSING!!!!  AND IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT ABOUT THIS - THEN TRY AND FIND ONE!!!!  SPENCER DAVIS GROUP LPS ON FONTANA TURN UP FAIRLY OFTEN (IN VARIOUS CONDITIONS) - BUT THIS LP VIRTUALLY NEVER DOES!!!!  AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO STRESS HOW THIS LP IS AS A GENIUNE 1967 MONO 1ST PRESSING (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH VARIOUS RE-ISSUES OF THIS LP)!!!!  I WILL EXPLAIN THE VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES!!!!  FIRSTLY THE COVER HAS A FLIPBACK COVER (LATER ONES DONT)!!!!  SECONDLY THE RECORD HAS A1/B1 MONO MATRIXES (LATER ONES DONT)!!!! THIRDLY THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' EVER 1ST PRESSING WITH 111 & 111 STAMPER CODINGS (SHOWING IT IS THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE)!!!!  AND LASTLY THIS LP HAS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' PINK ISLAND 'CIRCLE' LOGO LABELS (LATER ONES DONT)!!!!   NOT ONLY THAT BUT IT ALSO LISTS AN INCORRECT TRACK ON THE COVER FRONT 'PLEASE DO SOMETHING' - BUT ACTUALLY PLAYS 'TOGETHER TILL THE END OF TIME'!!!!  THIS IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THE RAREST EVER SPENCER DAVIS GROUP LP AS A 1ST PRESSING AND IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY VERY LONG TIME BEFORE YOU SEE ANOTHER (ESPECIALLY IN MONO)!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION OVERALL AND PLAYS SUPERBLY!!!!  THIS IS THE 1967 UK 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS ISLAND 'CIRCLE' LOGO LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS FLIPBACK COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK 1st pressing from 1967 and is in GREAT condition overall!!!! The record is pressed on thick quality vinyl. The Cat. No is ILP 970 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Island label (see picture) and is a 1967 MONO 1st pressing!!!!

The record labels are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition and plays SUPERBLY!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable.  This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only a VERY few light hairlines, only 2 or 3 light and NON sounding scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is EVEN BETTER than the visual!!!!  It plays with NO nasty loud pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and barely ANY crackle!!!!  The sound quality is simply AWESOME with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must STRICTLY grade visually Very Good+ if not better - with the playing grade better still!!!!  THIS RECORD PLAYS BRILLIANTLY!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!!  The 1st Press Flipback Cover is in GREAT condition - though there are a few minor things to mention (see below).  This cover was 1st Pressed in white and sadly unlaminated - which naturally makes it VERY exposed to wear & aging.  However this cover has survived quite well and I will explain everything below.  PLEASE ALSO NOTE that it is VERY important to beware of 'swopped' covers!!!!  1st Pressings of this LP only EVER came in FLIPBACK unlaminated covers and these are virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find.  Any other type of cover with NO flipbacks is NOT original and a MUCH later 1970s cover - so it is VERY important to note that this is a 100% GENIUNE 1st Press MONO cover!!!!  The cover has barely ANY bottom edge wear, slight top edge wear, only VERY slight spinal wear (most of the side words are still readable), only slight corner wear, only a few light creases (Cover is still flat looking), and NO writing!!!!  There is also a VERY small sticker removal mark in the top right corner - though on a white cover this is barely noticeable AT ALL!!!!  The cover front is overall in VERY nice condition - though there is some VERY slight grubbyness/rubbing towards the top and some general slight yellowing.  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in GREAT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, only VERY slight rubbing, a small brown 'age' spot, some creasing to the top right flipback (but NO tears and NO flipback loss), and NO yellowing (apart from a slight amount to the flipbacks)!!!!  The cover must grade Good++++ if not better and is still a nice presentable cover!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A GENIUNE UK 1967 MONO 1ST PRESSING!!!!  IT IS EASILY THE SPENCER DAVIS GROUPS RAREST EVER LP - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
