SPEEDY WEST AND JIMMY BRYANT: 2 Guitars Country Style. Not Rock'N'Roll, not exactly Western Swing but that's close. Honky Tonk? Country? Rockabilly? Well, it's really just guitar & steel pickin' of the swinging, virtuoso, "hot" type. These guys were the Van Halens of their days... when they weren't doing sessions they were showing off in a way that made other pickers want to quit pickin'.
Original USA first pressing LP on Capitol Records #T-520, mono.
Labels are NM. Record is very glossy and plays GREAT through. I'd give a play grade of VG++, just very minor typical vinyl sound. Visually record is between VG and VG+. Has a fair number of minor surface hairlines and light scratches; and there's one mark that really looks like it could cause trouble- but doesn't. It's a feelable scratch that goes right across one track but cases no upset to ears or needle. I'm listening to this now - again - and it sounds great, as always.
Cover has some flaws. Mostly there's some browning to the edges on the seams and spine. I guess the previous owner was a heavy smoker (though I don't detect a smoke odor). No splits, though I'd guess seams are on the weak side, so I've kept the record outside the cover to be safe. Front cover image looks great! There's also a small price sticker on back cover (bottom right) - the original retail sticker.
