 Up for bid is an extremely rare private press rare LP, The Southern University Jazz Ensemble - Live at the 1971 American College Jazz Festival - Conducted by Alvin Batiste. This is an original press (not a reissue),  released by Jazzstronauts Records (LP-1). Interior labels are clean. There is a small ink check mark near the bottom of side 1 (see pictures). Matrix info is as follows: Etched SO-10096 GB / Etched SO-10097 GB. LP is VG, with scuffs and scratches on either side - plays with surface noise with no skips. Jacket is VG, with a couple seam splits. There is a 3 inch split in the center of the top seam. There is a split in the center of the bottom seam about one inch long. There is wear on all seams and corners. There is visible wear on the front and back of the jacket. There is a crease in the front lower left corner / back lower right corner. LP is housed in a new plain white paper sleeve. This extremely rare LP does not appear often on ebay, so don't miss this rare gem! We will pack this securely for safe delivery - this will be a little heavy due to the inserts we put in the LP mailer. Domestic delivery will be via USPS media mail including a tracking number.
