This is a LATE 1960s ORIGINAL - NOT A REPRO, NOT A LATER REISSUE - U.S. Soulville Records 45 containing the 'Northern Soul' stomper 'Nobody To Blame (But Myself)' backed with the soul ballad 'Nothing In This World Matters (To Me But You) from The Soulville All-Stars. It is Soulville Records catalog number SV-1001, and appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the pat month as far as I can tell. 'Nobody To Blame' is a relentless uptempo stomper with a driving dance beat that will be a sure floor filler; lead vocals on 'Nobody To Blame' are handled by Richard Chaar; lead vocals on the ballad 'Nothing In This World Matters' are done by Milton Palmer. Condition of play surface is conservatively about a high VG/low VG+ with a moderate amount of surface marks and scuffs, only one of which on the B-side can be felt or will affect play, this one mark causes a few very slight ticks at the very end of the B-side. There are also a couple of small bumps in the play surface on both sides; this is a very slight manufacturing defect which also has absolutely no effect on play, the music is pressed right into these areas. Record plays nicely overall with a little bit of light scattered surface noise throughout and the aforementioned slight ticks at the end of the B-side. A-side label has some issues as can be seen in the accompanying image - It has a brown stain over about 60% of its area and a couple of worn areas; B-side label is fine. Both labels also have a little bit of contact wear as can be seen in the accompanying image. Please e-mail me with any questions.
