Description
SONNY ROLLINS SAXOPHONE COLOSSUS PRESTIGE 7079 YELLOW This is an auction for the following VINYL RECORD
Title: Saxophone Colossus
Personnel: Sonny Rollins (saxophone), Tommy Flanagan (piano), Max Roach (drums), and Doug Watkins (bass)
Label/Catalog Number: Prestige PRLP 7079
Vinyl Condition: side 1: G+; side 2: F (one slight jump about 30 seconds from the end of the side, else G+); except for the jump, I think a lot of people would say this *plays* VG-, but I'm saying G+ to be conservative
Jacket Condition: VG- (taped upper seam, chipping on spine, small split (1/2 inch) on lower seam, price sticker, surface wear, surprisingly high eye appeal for all that)
Insert Condition: n/a
Notes: mono; deep groove; nice thick vinyl; yellow 203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ label (price sticker on one side); RVG scratched in deadwax; AB/AB pressing; cleaned with the amazing Disc Doctor system; ordinarily I wouldn't list a record in this condition, but I figured given what it is someone might be interested in it cheap
Additional Note: I will be clearing out a lot of stuff I have sitting around over the next several months, mostly LPs but also 45s, 78s, open reel tapes, and books. There will be lots of classical (expect some RCA shaded dogs, plum VICS, Mercs, London bluebacks and other audiophile offerings) plus assorted other genres (R&B/soul, rock, jazz, etc.).
Grading
Grading is visual according to Goldmine standard (see my "me" page for details). Note, however, that: (1) Near Mint (NM) is the highest grade I use; (2) I understand Very Good Plus (VG+) such that a VG+ record cannot have any feelable mark on it whatsoever, no matter how small; and (3) I understand Very Good Plus (VG+) such that a VG+ jacket cannot have any seam splits.
Condition is guaranteed. In the event you purchase a record from me that has been misgraded according to this system, I will refund your money upon return of the item in question. Return is expected within 7 days in such cases.
