Description
- Blue Note Records 4001, this is an original vinyl pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the classic Sonny Rollins LP "Newk's Time". This pressing has the classic blue and white labels with the "47 West 63rd St" address notation, along with a "deep groove" under the labels on both sides; both "RVG" and the infamous "ear" symbol are present in the dead wax. Laminated jacket is VG+, showing some handling/rubbing and some corner wear; original owner wrote his initials in ink at lower left corner. Vinyl is only G (good), showing numerous marks, scuffs, and scratches on either side. Playback is okay on side 1, with some background crackle, pops, and ticks. On side 2, there may be a few skips in the first track, and there is a spot where the needle gets stuck and repeats a groove on "Blues For Philly Joe". Labels are still crisp with but a few spindle marks. Strictly a filler copy for your collection or a possible upgrade for your cover. NOTE: As of January 27th, US postal rates have increased.
