Description
Up for auction is a beautiful copy of the Sonny Rollins live album "A Night At The Village Vanguard" released on Blue Note Records (BLP 1581) in 1957. This is guaranteed original, deep groove mono first pressing. Addresses on both labels read "47 West 63rd - NYC," with "Ears" and RVG in the run-out grooves. No "R" and no "Inc." No address on back cover, just as other first pressings show.
Cover is in fantastic shape. Beautiful, high gloss lamination is no bubbles or separations. No ring wear or rubbing losses. Seams are strong and intact, no splits or cracking. Corners nice, though upper right has a slight bump (see photo). Back cover is very nice, clean, bone white. No signs of age discoloration, no writing, no ring wear. Looks very close to "as new". I'd grade this cover Near Mint (NM).
The vinyl is also in beautiful condition, with virtually no signs of previous handling or play. No scratches or scuffs. High gloss original shine to the vinyl faces. Labels are bright and clean, no marks around the spindle holes. I've play tested this record, and the sound is beautiful and clean. No extraneous background noise to speak of. A very clean sounding copy. I'd grade the vinyl as Near Mint (NM).
This is one of the nicest copies of this record you'll find. Final upgrade. Will satisfy the most serious of collectors. 100% satisfaction guaranteed, no risk buying. Superb copy.
