SONNY CLARK - DIAL "S" FOR SONNY - US Original - BLUE NOTE w/ 47 West 63rd address on label, deep groove, RVG and ear in dead wax. BLP 1570.

I grade this lp as VG+, Light hairline marks which are barely visible unless seen under bright light. Has two visible marks that look like they're from a fingernail, that can not be felt or heard. Plays w/ minimal surface noise to completely quite at times. It is a little bit more present during the 1st couple minutes of side 1 then fades into the minimal amount. Sometimes sounds like a mint copy, but still has occasional pops and surface noise. The surface noise that is present is not distracting from the record it's much more in the background. It Still has it's original sheen and luster. Was not over played, has moderate spindle marks and very little wear. I feel it still sounds incredible w/ a highly enjoyable play back and was cleaned on a VPI.

Jacket is VG+, The top has a seem split almost half way through. Bottom has a seem split about 1/2 an inch at the opening. Back spine looks like new. Has minimal corner dings and a slight warp. Not effecting the lp. The front for the jacket looks amazing, no writing, yellowing or tears. Has an original 1964 price sticker? on the back. Orig inner sleeve is VG w/ some splits and minimal tears at the top. Sgt. Forrest written on the top of the jacket and sleeve. LP will also come w/ a replacement plastic lined audiophile inner sleeve.

Incredible jazz rarity here. Original mono pressing Excellent LP with Art Farmer, Curtis Fuller, Hank Mobley etc. Pure quality with lovely tracks as "Sonny's mood" and "Dial S for Sonny". Photos are from the actual copy being auctioned. Email if you need more pictures of this item.
