I own Headlamp Shovel Records in Austin TX, but I took a short break from Ebay to focus on my other career... but I am back in action now and will be auctioning a lot of new items this month.

I specialize in rare and unknown items, including LPs and 7" of Modern Soul, Boogie, Power Pop... Xian genres of all kinds (from Gospel Boogie to 80s AOR Soft Rock and Xian Psych)... How this 45 is completely un-findable and un-googleable on the web is beyond me. When I first dropped the needle on it I figured it was a sought after known funk 45, but lo and behold, utter obscurity! Classic uptempo effects-laden funk from the mysterious Sonny and Sam. A little disco influenced and the production is fairly clean so I am thinking late 70s here.  These guys had a lot of talent to go undiscovered this long. Anyone out there have info on this? Flip side is some soul reggae of nice quality, but playing Check it out at full volume was a hell of an experience and went over really well in my set. Great stuff. And its NM!

 CONDITION:  Vinyl: NM.
Just superb condition. There is an X on one side of the label, thats about it. Jacket is just an off-white sleeve it came in. Only the tiniest signs of handling. Archive copy for sure.
