"Confusion Is Sex" was Sonic Youth's second release, this time with interim
drummer Jim Sclavunos behind the kit, aside from two tracks which feature Bob Bert.
The album was originally conceived as a quickie single, but as more songs were
written they decided to record all of their new material instead, laying the foundation
for their first full-length release (though the five-song self-titled
