Beatles " SONGS, PICTURES AND STORIES OF THE FABULOUS BEATLES" Vee-Jay VJ 1092
Hello everone! Up for sale this time, we have a rare Stereo issued copy of 'The Beatle's " SONGS, PICTURES AND STORIES OF THE FABULOUS BEATLES" This item is a true rareity, According to Vee-Jays work papers's, This album was issued in July of 1964, and was a limited run, the Album did not chart until October that year. Royalty statements indicate that 123,635 Mono and 5,753 Stereo copies of the album were sold prior to September 30, 1964. Aggressive marketing resulted in additional reported sales of 216,328 mono and 773 Stereo copies during the last quarter of 1964. By adjusting these sales figures to account for the distribution of Free units, It is estimated that over 384,150 Mono and 7,375 Stereo copies of the Record were sold. The Scarcity of the Stereo version of this Record is not at all surprising considering that less than 2% of the albums sold were Stereo. THE COVER & CONDITION: The cover for this particular copy is listed in the Bruce Spizer Reference guide as VJ 1092. SC1. It has the jacket slick positioned to reveal the number VJS 1092 AND THE WORD " STEREO " in Blue at the top of the cover. The cover for this item, is a Nice VG+. It has the typical light storage were on the Front and Back surface's, The top and bottom spine have Rub's, and there is 1" seam split on the inside gatefold seam. Other than this the Cover is in really good shape, There are no Seam split's, writing or Ground dirt on the it. All printing is completely clear and legible. This is an all around Nice cover folks. THE RECORD LABEL VARIATION AND CONDITION: The Record Label variation is in the Spizer guide as VJ 1062 ( 2 ). SR. 2B( i ) The labels feature the Black label with the outer rim colorband and Large white Bracket's Logo. The Labels also have left justified titles and credits with " INTRODUCING THE BEATLES " on them, The word " STEREO " appears at 3 o'clock in medium print and with " side " 1 & 2 in lower case print. The Labels are in excellent condition, I grade them at VG++. They show just a slight hint of being used around the play hole, Very Very Nice! THE RECORD VINYL DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION: the trail off areas have the hand etched initials " URJ " on both side's of the record, and The Matrix number S63-3402-S and Job number TRIANGLE6313 on side 1. The Matrix number S63-3403-S and job number Triangle6313X are on side 2. The ( MR ) Logo appear's on both sides. This Record was pressed by Monarch Records in Los angeles, CA. The record vinyl on this is a nice VG+, It has some light surface scratches, (But not Bad) The Record Looks very nice, It still has a nice Sheen to it, and is very clean.
This is a Very nice Stereo issue of this LP, It is a highly prized Beatle collectible, That will make a fine addition to your collection. It is also a very sound Business investment, It will only continue to rise in value. The Beatles have been a sound investment for years, and will continue to be so for years to come.
