Description

 Great private press Christian Blues Psych Rock LP from Sonfolk. It came out on Artronics Records out of St. Paul, MN, and gets a great review from Ken Scott in his Archivist book. As he describes it:"Side 1 consists of guitar and light rock covers...""Side 2, is where the real surprise comes in. 'Stand' charges forth with a crude driving fuzzed riff, ending with some psychy warbled reverse guitar. More psychy basement guitar envelopes the forlorn 'Travelling Man', an excellent kind of rural rock ballad. The bluesie 'Personal Boogie' struts along slowly with wailing harmonica, slick bottleneck guitar and seedy vocals, while the ballad 'Matthew 6:22 gets a lift from a wistful violin accompaniment. The moody rural vibes resurface on the powerful 7-minute 'Homecoming', starting softly on a mysterious theme, building up to a hard rocking climax, then quietly fading out again." Great LP!!! The songs are: Sweet Sweet Spirit, Morning Has Broken, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, God Power, I Wish We'd All Been Ready, Stand, Travelling Man, Personal Boogie, Matthew 6:22, Homecoming. The cover is M-, the vinyl is M-. Winner pays $4.00 postage in the US.
