Mint condition record, Near Mint cover is stamped "Demonstration" on the back and has a small corner tear. These are not scratchy old recordings...the album was recorded in 1965 in front of a small invited audience (of which I was a member).

Q:  Is this an original first pressing ? May-07-12 A:  Absolutely. Q:  Dear Mr. Pekar-- I would very much like to phone you briefly regarding your impressions of the '65 House session. I have an close affiliation with House and his music and would much appreciate the opportunity to hear from a rare witness to this historic event. Thanks for your consideration. I will attempt Facebook contact as well. Jeffrey John of Delta Duo, Indianapolis May-03-12 A:  I can't tell you much due to my overall awful memory. It was in one of the Columbia studios with Son House sitting on a chair at the mike and maybe 20 people sitting on metal chairs watching. We were not behind glass in the control room, we were in the actual studio with Son House. Also we were all people invited by John Hammond...I was an advertising copywriter for Columbia and I hoped to be a producer some day. There was a black folk singer named Jerry Moore that I was working with at the time and I believe John Hammond allowed a single of his to be released (not with me involved) and so I did have occasional contact with Mr. Hammond. I don't remember there being lots of takes on any particular song. It was as if Son House was performing in a club. I do remember his metal guitar was not like anything I'd ever seen. John Hammond was in the control room with a big grin on his face. He instructed the audience to be quiet and not to applaud. That's basically all I can tell you.
