For sale is this 1967 rare 1st UK pressing on the red PYE label (NPL 18193) of 'Something Else By The Kinks'. The sleeve is in fair to good Plus condition. The vinyl in G to VG condition, see grading descriptions. The tracks are as follows: <p>

The album can be graded as follows. <p>
VINYL: Fair/Good - VG+. The first track 'David Watts' jumps once and the first track side two also jumps - hence the G grading. I have tried to identify this jump but I cannot. Visually there are some marks and scratches on this platter and although not a perfect copy, it plays almost flawlessly on other tracks. Albums like this are hard to grade as they are not consistently worn - indicating selective play (buy the bloomin' single, I say). A rare album and a collectable for The Kinks officianado. <p>
Outer Sleeve: Fair/Good. The sleeve has wear all round. The album has by the looks of it been reglued along the pop-over flaps. There is wear to the corners and the spine (which can just about still be read). There are pin holes in each corner which indicate it may have been on a wall at some point. The sleeve has a split along the bottom, from the business end in for about one inch. This sleeve iscrying out for some polythene protection.<p>
Inner Sleeve: Plain white polythene lined, badly stained and split at the opposite end to the opening. <p>
Label: PYE red label, slightly grubby and with light spindle wear for it's age.. <p>

Record Collectors Grading System
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
