This album was The Beatles FIRST release on the now famous Apple label. It was entered into the charts on the 7th of December 1968 and went straight to number one-where it stayed for 7 weeks! Making it the FIRST double album to get the top slot...EVER!
The rather unusual fact about this album is that it was the first release by The Beatles which contained only SOLO material.
By the time 1970 ended, the total sales of this wonderful album were estimated to be 6.5 Million! However...get this...The only other album that beat this a few years later was "Saturday Night fever" !!!
This copy bears all the hallmarks of the second run 1973 pressing: Fully laminated cover. No number to the front, but BEATLES embossed. Side opening. White die-cut inners. Correct YEX matrix..

I can see some very light marks, with dust and finger prints!!
Listening to her I heard all sorts of different instrumental arrangements-thanks to it's superior sound quality.
Just occasional background noise and the odd pop-which I am sure will dissapear with a gentle professional clean.
Quiet run-ins too!

The labels: EX!
There are some very light traces of spindle marks on the labels...Really nothing to worry about as they are visble when angled towards the light.
NO CENTRAL HOLE WEAR
They are the APPLE pressing labels from the second pressing in 1973-still, that is 40 years ago!!

The Cover:

She carries some light discolouration and some small fingers of spidering to the front and back laminated cover-only from the seams.
Side opening with "The Beatles" embossed on the cover.
SUPERB & UNCRUSHED strong spine.
The corners have been knocked and rubbed and I notice the bottom seam of the left gatefold has rubbing, which has gone through to make a split of 4cm.
Inside-the images are as vibrant as whn it was printed back in '73.
