REVIEW: Very rare original 1968 psychedelic debut LP by British acid rock heroes The Soft Machine. Featuring Kevin Ayers, Robert Wyatt, and Michael Ratledge. Contains "Joy Of A Toy" and "Why Are We Sleeping?". This cover has the girl on the back cover NUDE (not with her bottom covered as in other issues), and it has the rotating gear front flap. Unfortunately, a previous owner has removed the gear (splitting the right side of the front flap in the process). A repair may be possible (regluing or taping) but I thought it best not to attempt one, and to sell as is, with all parts included. The top seam of the gear flap is also split about 3". The rear part of the gatefold is all solid, and in strong shape.
