Classic. Only 200 made. This cult punk sampler is milestone in GERMAN PUNK HISTORY. You are bidding on the exceptionally rare S.O.36 compilation from Berlin, the most wanted German punk sampler ever made. At that time, the legendary SO 36 club was run by Kippi aka Martin Kippenberger. All these tracks were recorded live at the S.O. 36 on the 13th of August in 1978. It was exactly on the 17th anniversary of the construction of the BERLIN WALL. Although, all in all, 500 sampler were produced, only the first 200 records were born in a steel cover made up of two heavy plates (which are connected by an elastic strip). All of them were numbered. The other +300 records were issued without a sleeve. The sleeveless ones are un-numbered and include a piece of paper. You are bidding on the original first pressing and this is number 051 (see scan). Issued on the ‘Ignition’ label in 1978. The reason why this original metal-plates sampler is so bloody hard to find is:all in all 9 bands appear on this sampler and usually each band has 4-5 band members plus a roadie/friend and a ‘manager’. Meaning each band could have taken 6-7 records, so 65, or more, of these 200 comps are still in the hands of the bands....and therefore, only just over, 130 records could be in circulation. This masterpiece features the powerful stomper ‘Polizei’ by MALE. You can listen to ‘Marmor Stein Und Eisen Bricht’ / ‘1978 Deutschland’ and two more tracks by MITTAGSPAUSE. The two tracks by PVC include the excellent ‘No Escape’. Also appearing on this essential release are S.Y.P.H, FFURS, STUKA-PILOTS, DUB-LINERS and DIN A TESTBILD. For your information only: the 300 sleeveless records were distributed by Hamburg’s first Punk Record Shop Rip Off. As you know, Rip Off owner Claus Maeck is now the manager of EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN and a pretty famous film producer. Don’t miss this true masterpiece.

Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt (all records will be shipped in special LP record mailers, two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending).
