SMOKEY ROBINSON MIRACLES Away We A Go Go UK MOTOWN STEREO FIRST A1/B1 G1/G1
Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Away We A Go-Go.
Scarce 1966 UK pressed Tamla Motown stereo LP, STML 11044.
Very first pressing, which not only has A1/B1 matrix suffixes, but also very earliest G1/G1 mothers/stampers!
K/T tax code is embossed to A side label.
Vinyl in near mint condition. Spider trail marks around the spindle areas indicates just a very few plays. LP has clearly been very well cared for and has bright and glossy surfaces which are free of any marks save for one or two of the most tiniest of superficial and non-sounding hairline paper scuffs. There is just one really tiny blip of a mark which appears to be a pressing imperfection. This can be felt to the touch as a raised blip, but luckily occurs directly on the separator band between tracks two and three on the second side. It creates just the merest touch of gentle crackle which doesn't affect either surrounding track.
Else playback throughout is bright and clean and free of crackle, ticks or clicks. Really tough to locate an original 1960's UK Motown LP in anything approaching this condition.
Sleeve in generally very clean and bright condition, and free of loss, sticker, pen or other marks. Grades top end VG plus, mainly due to some light undulation creasing to front panel, and some slightly more marked diagonal creasing to top left and right corners. There is no sign of water/mould damage and the sleeve has no mustiness or spotting. Aside from this sleeve would easily grade EX. There is no fading of colouration and the predominantly white rear panel is clean and bright white still, with intact undamaged visible backflaps. Edges and tips are solid and unfrayed, with no whitening, chipping, fraying or seam splits. Spine looks superb still.
Sleeve is front only laminated.
