Description

" SMOG " (Piero Umiliani) 1962, Studio Uno (STN1008) 2000.

Very rare, Italian limited pressing, reissue of the incredibly rare soundtrack from the cult '62 Franco Rossi film about an Italian in LA.

Studio Uno/Easy Beat issued a run of just 500 of these back in 2000 which sold out almost straight away.

This particular copy is one I have just found in my store room and I believe it is old unsold stock I have since new - however, as there is a bit of a crease in the sleeve and I can't be sure if it is original stock, I felt it fairer to give the the bidder the benefit of the doubt and list as secondhand in excellent condition.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo)



CONDITION:

VINYL =  EXCELLENT  (No scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, no spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out a couple of very light paper scuffs - although these are purely visual and during playback, none of these very slight superficial flaws correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, there is some faint surface noise during the silent run-in (definitely in the pressing, in this case) which occasionally appears from time to time sporadically throughout the record. It plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)


SLEEVE = EX- (No rips, tears, heavy creases, defacing, etc. But had to be marked down for some lighter creasing to the bottom left corner... a result of poor storage rather than mistreatment - see photos for further clarification)
