Description
A great opportunity to buy a copy of a VINYL LP from the 1960's by Smith called "A Group Called Smith."
Smith were an American group formed in the late 60's and this was their debut album. It features Gayle McCormick on lead vocals and she went on to record 3 solo albums after the group split up.
This is a U.K. pressing from 1969 issued on the Stateside Dunhill label (SSL 5016). It has a total of 10 tracks (see pictures for track listing).
The matrix numbers are:- SSL 5016 A-1 G (side one) and SSL 5016 B-1 G (side two).
The vinyl is in a lovely clean and shiny NEAR-MINT condition. I always grade and examine records under a bright table lamp and there are just the odd marks on the vinyl, which may well have been transit scuffs caused by the inner sleeve. There is a faint spindle mark on each side to indicate that it has actually been played.
The labels are completely clean and free from any writing, marks or major defects. There is a Factory Sample sticker on the label of side two (see picture).
The record is housed within a plain inner sleeve in an EXCELLENT condition.
The laminated flipback picture cover is in an EXCELLENT condition. It has minimal signs of wear at the corners, but the edges and spine are very strong and the text is clearly visible on the spine (see picture). There is very faint ring-wear on the front cover, but this is only noticeable when tilted towards the light. The back cover has remained remarkably clean and unmarked considering its colour.
