SMALL FACES - OGDENS NUT GONE FLAKE
Here is a rare chance to buy this important album in NEAR MINT CONDITION! This is an original UK release on the IMMEDIATE label, in stereo.
I have carefully stored and protected this record for 40 years.
This album is in flawless, NEAR MINT condition. The disc is totally clean, with no marks of any kind. The label is perfect. It comes in the original plastic sleeve, which is unmarked. The cover is in perfect condition - all the pieces are perfect and folds are perfect. This is an incredibly fragile cover and very hard to find in this condition.
I bought this about 1970, when I got every album the band had made. I had an excellent stereo system with the most expensive Shure cartridge available. The record was only played once a day so the vinyl grooves could regain their proper shape. The disc was only handled on the edges and was cleaned with a DiscPreener before each play. The vinyl is in flawless condition. It looks brand new.

The album looks BRAND NEW. It is in EXCELLENT condition with no scratches or marks. There are no spindle marks or any other marks on the label - it is perfect.
The cover is in EXCELLENT condition with no bends, marks or tears. The edges are absolutely straight - no finger marks or bends from taking out the album. The cover's potential for damage is very high - practically off the scale. A multi-foldout format with thin flimsy hinges that hold the whole thing together, only the most ‘unused’, little handled examples will ever survive. This one has not only just ‘survived’, all the hinges are little short of ‘new’ with no stressing or weakening at all – totally remarkable for a cover that is 44 years old.
The Ten Faces: All the eight illustrated faces are in excellent condition. Deep rich colour is retained by all including the more vulnerable front and back ‘covers’. Clean, fresh and practically no wear at all except for a small area of very light scuffing on the very bottom of the front below the word tobacco, which is visible in the photo. These fragile sections will prove near impossible to find better.
The Hinges: All in perfect condition, no stressing, no splits or tears or rubs. They even retain their surface ink which is near impossible these days – YES, even the bottom ‘resting edge’ one – that is near impossible to see. The cover was hardly ever unfolded or handled, these are truly delicate but as strong as manufacture day with great neat shape retained by all.
The Rims: The rims are as neat and crisp and absolutely perfect. No feathering, no bends or crinkling, no finger marks. This cover has all the hallmarks of looking almost ‘as made’.
It will be very hard to find another copy in this condition. It looks as though it just came from the shop.
