Description
This is a 1968 first pressing extremely rare South African stereo LP album by THE SMALL FACES entitled " OGDENS' NUT GONE FLAKE ". It is on the IMMEDIATE label SA 007.
This captivating album, comes in its original, totally fabulous, round designer sleeve.
The matrix numbers are 012-1Y and 012-2Y
The sleeve, which is made by GARROD and LOFTHOUSE of LONDON, and which contains the original round polythene inner (usually missing) is in Excellent Plus condition. No splits , no tears, all original hinges working perfectly. It is just in very very clean condition
The vinyl is also in Excellent Plus condition.There are a few faint lines visible when viewed under a bright light. Because of the fact that the sleeve was made in the UK, I am wondering if perhaps the vinyl was pressed in the UK and the labels then added in South Africa. Perhaps someone might know about that ?
Audio is top class.
The hard to find LILAC labels are in NEAR MINT condition. Clean and crisp with no writing and no spindle marks.
This is an outstanding copy of an incredibly rare South African album. Don't miss it ! You will possibly never see another one ! Deserves a good home.
I should add that on the other side is a comedy sketch by Stanley Unwin entitled Happiness Stan. Very funny man.
