I bought this album about twenty years ago from the original owner - former record dealer and collector - before moving out of Connecticut State. During late 60's, he ordered a few copies for resale purpose but after a few months waiting time his supplier only sent him instead a WHITE LABEL PROMO copy (the stock copies have pink label). The original owner did not play this record, neither did I, the album being kept in storage only for over 40 years now. The original owner assumed that the album was probably played once for being transferred unto tape. I personally doubt this since there are no spindle marks at all. Let's assume though that the album was played once to be on the safe side. The original owner received the album with a special outer plastic sleeve -  with a fastener - that he replaced it by a regular plastic cover since the original one did not close properly.

1968 WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL release on Immediate Records IMSP 012, STEREO, made in U.K. Original plastic inner sleeve. Five flaps gatefold cover (clover design).

Matrix numbers (factory etched on the runout wax):

- IMSP - 012-1Y (on side one)

- IMSP - 012-2Y (on side two)

CONDITION - INITIAL EVALUATION:

- cover is NM (although there are no visible marks of any kind anywhere I prefer to downgrade from MINT due to age)

- all flaps are still attached and bound at base that is intact

- vinyl is MINT both sides as inspected using natural light plus under a strong light

CONDITION - FURTHER AND FINAL EVALUATION FOR THE VINYL (for purists or picky collectors):

- for the side one: using a strong magnifier I have detected a few very light superficial sleeve marks possibly left in time by the plastic inner sleeve (imperceptible with the eye)

- for the side two: no marks or flaws or any kind inspected with the magnifier

IN CONCLUSION, THE CONDITION FOR VINYL IS AS FOLLOWS:  NM side one and MINT side two

Play-tested, there could be a few minor - not disturbing or distracting - pops or ticks during slow passages - inherent to the vinyl material and imperfect pressing. I don't play-grade a record LP that looks unplayed, like new (as nobody should do this).

THE ONLY WHITE LABEL PROMO COPY I've ever seen of this classic Small Faces LP. Mega rare finding and a must-have collectible LP. Highly recommended!

Top price paid for this album was GBP 719 (eBay auction, Popsike source) equal to circa $1,000.
