Original G&L ,1st issue, circular, fold out, album cover in nr mint format.

Incredible condition.

1st issue ALBUM cover

Unbelievable album sleeve, with the intricate 1st issue design of a circular, fold out format, which caused many problems for its owners. Most are found torn and defaced, as nobody could work out how the original design unfolded, hence the change of later album sleeves with a less complex design. This one is near perfect with no edge wear, no ring wear, no graffiti, no handling marks and no rips, nor tears of any kind. Each seam is in nr perfect condition and is seriously scarce to locate, in this remarkable condition. Nr mint visual(as on one of the inner white faces has slight greyish markings,(which you will see on the photo), and with a seriously rare record shop sticker, just about puts the icing on an already very rich cake! Has patent number inscribed on reverse to confirm the authenticity of this 1st issue sleeve.

RECORD

Vinyl appears near perfect viewed under ordinary light conditions. Stunning ,visual appearance.

Against a strong light, a few ultra faint stylus marks/sleeve removal hairlines are visible if angled at 45 degrees. Remarkable high gloss, reflected from this magnificent mono classic. Excellent visual .Seriously rare to locate like this.

Rare Inner sleeve present with a brown, thick card manufacture. Has one lateral edge seam split but is clean cut. A few nicks are located on top edge.Good condition. An additional, circular, polythene bag is enclosed for housing the vinyl.

Labels

Lilac/grey 1st issue labels with only a light spindle trace. Excellent condition with the text “ FOR AMAZING RESULTS THIS RECORD SHOULD BE PLAYED AT FULL VOLUME” ,which is only found on the earliest UK 1st pressings. This text was removed on later releases.KJT tax code on one label!!

Audio (Mostly Excellent Strict RRPG grading applies)

In fantastic mono recording with a tremendous depth of sound and tones are conveyed with a razor sharp edge. No distortion detected. Just two blips on sound to mention. There is an invisible stylus mark, S1 Tr2, where there is a split second pop, otherwise a nr perfect delivery.S2 Tr3, an ultra light scratch which causes 4-5 extremely faint ticks during the vocals of Stanley. All music tracks play in excellent style ,whilst the silent channels during the silliloquys, have an occasional static, which remains distant and hardly affects the delivery. S2 at least a very good ++ (strict grading applies).

Stunning, album presentation. Impossible to locate in this condition. Not to be missed.
