Description

Side One : Everybody Needs Love; I've Been Terrorised; Place In The Sun; Never Let Me Go; Slip Away; Spanish Harlem

Side Two : Somebody To Love; Stranger On The Shore; Burning Desire; On Broadway; Zip-A-De-Doo-Dah; Ain't Too Proud To Beg

Produced by Bunny Lee

A faultless album from the late, great Slim who surely would have been a major international star were it not for his untimely death.  He was once touted as Jamaica's most important singer since Harry Belafonte.  The tracks need little introduction, they're all classics, but "Terrorised" is an update of "The New Boss", "Never Let Me Go" is the original rock steady cut with the Uniques - who also feature on "Beg" - & "Somebody To Love" is the Solomon Burke standard.  Many of the riddims were also utilised by Lee Perry, all tracks are in glorious mono & there's an interesting biopic by Harold Peebody on the back cover.
