SLIM HARPO “TIP ON IN.” ORIGINAL 1968 EXCELLO RECORDS STEREO LP EXC-8008.
Original U.S. pressing. Original white, pink and blue Excello labels. Purchased by me (new) in 1968. This is not a reissue or import.
VINYL CONDITION; Ex++, thick, heavy platter. Played maybe 5-10 times max. Musically fabulous! Songs are: Tip On In; Te-Ni-Nee-Ni-Nu; Mailbox Blues; I've Been A Good Thing For You; Hey Little Lee; I'm Gonna Keep What I've Got; I've Got To Be With You Tonight; I'm So Sorry; My Baby She's Got It; I Just Can't Leave You.
COVER: original thick cardboard (U.S. style) about VG. Small amount of ring wear in front, light corner wear, a few dings and light crease in upper right corner which is visible only when held up to a light. Slight 1” seam tear on left seam (not split through.)
Perfect, wear-free labels.
The record has tiny ‘Nashville Mains’ stamped into the dead wax area, which is generally considered proof of authenticity of the first pressing.
One of these went by on eBay in 2004 for $660 (see popsike.com for details.) My minimum bid is $39.99 with no reserve.
Shipping / handling $4.00 in USA, $13 overseas. Auction open only to N. America, (most of) Western Europe, Japan, Oz, NZ. I’m sorry but no shipping to Spain or Italy -- I have had problems there.
