The Slickers - Breakthrough (NY, Tad's Records, `79) Condition: Cover: EX+ Disc: M-
Lovely original issue of fantastic deep roots LP by the group best known for "Johnny Too Bad." All basic tracks were recorded by Lee Perry at his Black Ark studio. The record was beautifully mixed and mastered giving the Black Ark sound a depth and clarity rarely heard on Perry's own releases. Most tracks are disco-mix style with dubs. Sound clip plays a bit of each track. This one 's a monster.
I will be auctioning a lot of good rare `60s and `70s reggae and rocksteady over the next few weeks, along with some rarities in other genres as well, so please add me to your saved seller list.
