Description
Hailing from San Jose, CA; Sleep is a stoner/doom/sludge metal band that wrote a song called "Dopesmoker", and is over SIXTY minutes long! (Eat your heart out, jam bands! Lol) Their record label flipped out, of course, and dropped them. Not to worry, as that stoner's dream of an album saw a cleaned up reissue in 2012, by the Southern Lord record label. In 2020, a special reissue picture disc was released, in a clear PVC gatefold sleeve. Three of the four sides is the hour long track "Dopesmoker", and the fourth side is a couple of live tracks! Artwork is by Arik Roper.
In today's rocking, stoney good deal, you'll get a nearly new copy of that metal classic, and on a DOUBLE LP gatefold picture disc collectible! The artwork is wild. Each of the four sides is a brightly colored picture disc. This comes in its original PVC gatefold jacket. Bought new, by me, and never played. (I never play specialty vinyl, like colored vinyl or picture discs.) The only flaw I can see is two splits on the edge of the gatefold sleeve. Each about 3 inches long. One on each sleeve. Where the record itself split the plastic. (This usually happens in transit.) The obi type sash looks great, and contains the albums' credits and track listings.
A sweet collectible from Sleep, in great condition, and at a nice price! The perfect gift for that stoner in your life, or for fans of Sleep, and other American metal bands. Or grab this bad boy for yourself, because you know you deserve it!
Expedited delivery is available for anyone who wants it. Just select that option during checkout. If you have any problems with that, let me know, and I can send an invoice. Media Mail is the default shipping for records, CDs, and DVDs. If you NEED this as soon as possible, then select Priority Mail shipping, to get it much quicker.
